Zahra Barri is your tour guide for The Grant Museum

Cultural Comedy Tours visits for the first time the Grant Museums sister site the Petrie Museum. 


UCL Student Welcome Week has arrived and the Petrie Museum invites new and returning students to explore the museum with Cultural Comedy Tours, combining the most sensational comedians on the circuit with favourite museums, art galleries and heritage sites across the UK.


Join comedy-writer and stand-up performer Zahra Barri for a unique tour of the Petrie Museum's collection of objects and artefacts from ancient Egypt and Sudan.

Zahra Barri is an Egyptian/Irish writer and stand-up comedian. Her debut novel, Daughters of the Nile won the Unbound Firsts Writers of Colour 2024 and her writing also received the Runner Up in the Comedy Women in Print Prize 2020. Her stand up has featured on Radio 4, Radio 4 Extra, Radio 2, BBC Asian Network and BBC Period Dramas online and she is a BBC Comedian Semi Finalist. She is currently doing a PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Hertfordshire.
